Recaps on a Fifth Wheel TT?

I just installed a new Prodigy brake controller on my '01 3500. I'm wondering if anyone has ever cursed Dodge as much as me when I found out how much I had to contort not only my arms but my entire body to get up under the dash to reach the blue brake controller connector. I swear, at that moment I wanted to meet the engineer that decided to put that there so I could kick his A$$!!!! :-{}

Oh well, if I ever decide to sell the truck I guess I'll be selling it with the brake contoller because there's no way I'm gonna get my butt under there and disconect it. I barely could plug it in, let alone get my other hand up there to pull the little release clip in order to unplug it.

Ahhhhh... I released my frustration. ;)

oem plug for controller

i certainly agree. frankly, i gave up trying to put my old and stiff self in the position to plug in. i asked my younger and more nimble friend who builds trailers for a living. he just laughed cause a couple of months before he did the same install on his father gas truck. technology is wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bruce

Yeah, don't ya just love the way they ran the wiring harness right in front of the blasted connector socket, and then stretched it tight as a bowstring! :mad: ;)

Yep, When we sold our 5er, I removed the brake controller and unplugged the wiring at the rear of brake controller and tied up the harness up under the dash. No way could I ever get the other end unplugged up there.

You are right JC. How did they get that thing pulled so tight????
