TDR, I am having the best weekend ever. CMEP tour, along with great drags and pulls at the Lucas Raceway. Our trip included the testing of a new Blue Chip FMS. This is on a stock truck, no injectors or any other performance products. We have NOT felt much of a power gain. I did a bunch of searching and found a great post by Bob Wagner. He posted a dyno gain of about 12 horse power. That is a rough guess of what we have experienced. Here is the queation... ...

Does this truly need other products to bring out the advertised 100 horse power?

What is the best product to match with the FMS?

If this alone will gain the power, then what am I missing to get it out of this box?

Thanks...

Dave

PS ~ mwilson is a life saver. We owe him for saving the trip. THANKS A TON MIKE!!!!!

Have you switched over to the "race mode" on the box? Also you should be able to adjust fueling rates as well? If you feel it isn't performing as it should I would call Chip directly. Probably won't find anyone more knowledgeable on the box and he is a great guy to talk to.

From what I know, we have tried every setting, and all functions are working with little results. We spent all day in Indy asking around, and then drove 6 hours home and could not get much gain. The truck is an 02, nv5600, 4x4.
Does this box need help, or will it put out the advertised 100 horse power?

Something's not right. The fms is supposed to be one of the hottest boxes on the 24v. Check your pump tap wire then call chip.

The most any non wire tap box can produce is roughly 60 HP. If the truck has deficiencies it will only go down from there

I had the owner of the truck call chip, and he agrees something is not correct. We are going to try to turn the pump tap screw in more and check the fuse. I will tell you more shortly.
