Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Blue chip or not??

I got the bad news on my 01. The truck was very slow to rev and pickup speed a couple of times so I took it to the dealer. They said it will need a new pump. Then I found out the time had run out on the warranty. So I did some checking on new pump replacements and found the "blue chip" IP and I liked what I read. Most of what the information said made sense to me. Also where is a knowledgable shop to take it to or should I try it myself? Oo. Thanks in advance for the advice. I plan on keeping it and did I forget to mention it is my wife's truck..... :-laf

I have one, it has been great. about two years old now.

they are not to hard to install i helped a buddy put one on just make sure the key is @ 12:00 the one on the gear

fox how do u like the mach 2's do you think that the mach 6's will be to much i have about the same set up but not sure what to go with
