pump cover

Yes, I have one installed.

It is very easy to install. So removal is easy, should the need to go visit the dealer arise. Once the factory plate is re-installed, you can't tell that you have ever messed with anything. I don't know about the 2002's, but some of the 2001's require a tamper proof torx bit to get the plate off. Mine did, but I have heard others mention, that theres didn't. Blue Chip sells them also.

Yes, in my opinion, this is the only way to go.

I have one as well. Very easy and the way to go. Just make sure that you ground the comp to the intake horn or such not the ground on the blue chip cover. I don't know why but that is what I was told.

Yes, many of us on the TDR BB have the Blue Chip VP44 replacement pump cover... and like them. There have been at least several good threads on the subject in the past.

I'm sure the Blue Chip pump cover is great, but TST Products offers a little gizmo called the "Grabber" that connects even faster to the pump wire, leaving only a pin prick on the underside, and it can be removed in seconds... It's less than half the cost of the pump cover, I believe. Totally a slick way to go, but you don't hear about it as much as the pump covers.

Question :

With the cover installed, and say you remove whatever box you have weather its the BlueBox, Comp, or PowerMax³, is the cover ok to be installed without any wires hooked to it? I haven't seen one yet so thats why I am asking..... I already have the scotchlock mark... . but I want the cover to keep the connection more solid.

Basically will the cover be ok installed without any boxes attached to it... . for whatever reason?

Kat,

I don't see any problems with leaving the cover installed, yet not hooked up. There are two wires (I think) that come off of the plate that you would have to tie up, but other than that, you should be ok.
