Hi Im a new member and of course need a new vp44. has anyone brought the blue chip vp44 injection pumps? Or does anyone have recomdations on getting one thanks Rick Oo.

Industrial Injection.

From my understanding these pumps are rebuilt like the blue chip pumps. Only difference is price and you can get a hot rod vp44 from industrial injection

The VP 44 on my wifes 2000 just died last week and it is the orginal pump with 116k on it.

I run 1/2" fuel lines from the filter to the VP 44 and all this is being fed by a FASS system. . so hopefully that has something to do with it.

I'm at 176,000 on the OEM pump  I feel like I'm on barrowed time. The truck has been worked pretty hard pulling my 15k 5er also. fairly well bombed too.

That is awesome dude!

This failure was different I guess from what I have heard. She pulled out from her office and it just flat died! No warning,no dead pedal... nothing . . it just died. All the codes pointed toward sensors on the DTT trans. . but after a real scanner was hooked up. . way down in the codes was the p0216. They cleared all the codes and tried to start it again. . this time the first code was the 0216. .

The week before a friend of mine had his VP44 die the very same way and his truck only had 76k on it. But I do know for a fact that he drove his truck around for nearly 2 weeks with a bad lp. I kept telling him to get it over to the Dodge dealer but he just kept driving it. .

#1 died at 60k, #2 at 105k. I am currently running a Hot Rod from Industrial Diesel. I have been running FASS since 50k on the truck. I do not know my HP, but I recently needed to change my clutch to a SBC 3850 DD 12cb because I could spin my SBC FE starting in 3rd gear once I exceeded 40psi of boost.

I really like the Hot Rod pump rom Industrial Diesel. FYI, some of the Hot Rod pumps have a lumpy idle (which I love). They are also a good value for the price.
