Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) blue gray smoke

Hey my 98 12v has been blowing blueish gray smoke in the mornings the oil level dosent drop it also has a new head gasket and valves and seals. also notice after siting at intersections you can see the smoke after it been warmed up? What do you figuar this problem is this time?

What is the timing set at? Mine does this and is set at 24 degrees.

did you have a thicker head gasket installed?



my truck hazes a lot more with the chamber work and valves that have material relieved from the face (lower compression)

my timing is set to 13. 5 deg and for head gasket i went back to stock because when i had to machined they didnt take enough material off to use a thicker one.

my truck would sputter and belch unburnt diesel on cold mornings and at high rpm, low load/boost conditions till I bumped timing from 12. 5* to 16. 5*
