Practical Solutions?

Anybody using Blue Heat that's been advertised here on TDR. Looks interesting. I like it's benefits. Are there any downsides to running this set-up to warm the engine?

I'd like to know about it also, looks nice and compact. I don't see why it's only listed for 2003 and above though, it should be able to be mounted on just about any year shouldnt it

The Blue Heat is very similar to their TSL 17 model. I have an earlier model in my '97 and I wouldn't be without it after using it. I've installed a TSL 17 on a '04. 5 Dodge, and also helped install one on a '95 CTD. I can't see any downside to using it. It's great to come out after work and hop into a warm truck. No waiting for the grid heaters to cycle, and the warm air coming out of the heater is great. The unit in my truck is a model DBW 46 that I put in used a couple of years ago. It started it's life in my friend's '95, and he gave it to me after I found him a great deal on a new TSL 17. The DBW 46 had been in his truck for 7 years before I got it. All I had to do to it when I got it, was install a new felt wick in the burner assembly. It's been working great ever since. Check out Ebay, I've seen some great deals on some TSL 17's there.
