i doubt that ill be attending ,however, i have had the pleasure of eating at the smoked barbeque joint on "main street" in galax on a past business trip. It was outstanding! Might be something to consider , although as i recall the parking might be a problem for a large group , but you local boys probably know where all the good parking is :-laf but regardless its worth checkin out sometime if your around

If the printer can get them done in time, I'll have 20 5"x11" TDB decals with me. Cost is $4 ea. If not, we'll just have to have another meeting in January.

Roanoke works for me if that is where you want. I do have a place in Pearisburg, Affordable Trucks & Equipment shop. It would work great for a cookout. Plus all the tools and a lift if sombody wants to tinker. It is on 460 1 hr west of roanoke.

This place of James' sounds good to me, because it might be a llittle chiily and he just might have a heater . Say, show up around 11 am sound good to everybody?? maybe later? what to bring? burgers? dogs? ELK!!?

where some one else can furnish the food because off the short notice.



It's pretty cold for a wrenching party but James place sounds real good

for a summer party but we can go with the majority. What say ye out there?

So it's settled. We head out to Pearisburg on Saturday, 12/16.



Volunteers are needed to:

1. bring 15-20 burgers 'n' buns and chips

2. bring 4L each of cola, ginger ale and water

3. grill (if needed)

4. 'coal or 'pane, as needed, for grill

5. paper plates

6. plastic cups



Anything else is needed, I'm sure there's a store within 20 miles.

I hadn't heard from James since he made the offer, so I emailed him to check the board here. I have a very large Weber charcoal grill I can bring and 3 medium sized coolers. I also have a bunch of plastic cups and plates from our reunion this summer.



I have to go to West Virginia today and will be back Thursday. If for some reason he can't do it, maybe his work schedule changed, I can have it here. The main reason I didn't offer is that my wife is working weekend nights at the hospital and sleeps during the day.

BTW, anyone know why there's a woman's voice in the GPS that tells you where and when to turn, etc?

I haven't heard back from James and don't have a phone number for him. I did find the place he was talking about. It's on 460 west, across the New River from Pearisburg, and just passed the Celanese Plant. It's on the right and looks like a large truck/ heavy equipment dealer.
