I have @ 6,000 miles on my truck (see sig below). Since new the truck seems to "flood" at about 2,000 rpm's--especially in 2nd gear. It loses power and usually I can simply depress the go pedal and it snaps out of the "flooding" sensation. Several days ago when it happened I stepped on the pedal and got a shudder so backed out of it and shifted and all seemed well. Yesterday I tried to recreate the problem and when I did--at @ 2,000 rpms in 2nd gear I got a lot of Blue (yes, I know what blue looks like) smoke.
So the common symptoms are that it always occurs at about 2,000 rpms, always generates the blue smoke, and always feels like it is "flooding". By flooding I mean the sensation when you depress the go pedal and you lose that solid sound of good acceleration accompamied by the separate distinct sounds of the motor pulling hard. When "flooded" the sounds blur and power disappears. The problem seems to be getting worse--never got the shudder/bucking problem until a few days ago for the first time. And, I am assuming there was always blue smoke with the problem since it is always there now when this happens.
Any ideas? No bombing and no gauges so far. I am sure this is not a weather or winter fuel problem.
