A lot of blue smoke when cold weather start up, and pooping. Will not run right until engine warmed up?

Are your grid heaters working? The relays that control them are on the inside fender, drivers side of the engine compartment. Could also be timing.

Mine has been doing this a little too. Not too bad. The timing was just done. I'm not too worried about it runs fine if I let it warm up a little more and as long as I plug it in it is ok. Oh an my grid heaters are working I think my head lights dim a lot when it's cold.

most likely needs the timing checked/bumped up. i know you replaced the fuel return lines the other year so i'd do the timing.

i was told by another member that antrim diesel charges about $65. to set timing and may do it while you wait.

i will soon be headed to have mine checked too. cold weather brought the blue cloud rough running on cold engine starting back.

$65 bucks for a timing job? Thats a good deal. One diesel shop around here charges $300 to do the timing (but they do alil tweaking to the pump, run the valves, and pressure check the intake).
