blue wire to brake controler ?

Greetings Everyone,



Trying to wire in a prodigy break controller. My truck has a 7 pin connector pre wired in already. Were do I tap in to run blue wire from controller to pin at connector? I don't know if my 7 pin is wired coerect I have a hot wire from battery to the charge pin which I believe is correct. The pin that is for breaks to a trailer also is hot from battery to pin on a different wire is this correct? or is there another wire from breaks on truck harness to pin ?

I highly recommend running new wire if your putting on 92'. I had so many problems with mine, I gave up and ran all new wire... best thing I have ever done. Very Reliable, especially with brakes.

Running new wire is a great idea. Then you can run a heavier gauge wire to charge your trailer battery (white wire).

I wired in my prodegy on my 94 Ram, the vender sold me an adapter to fit my trailer plug under the dash to make installation easy. I tore up my dash looking for this plug and after a few phone calls with them laughing at me 6hrs. later, I drove the truck down to the vender with the dash tore up and asked him to show me where the plug was. With cake on his face he identified a blue wire with no plug and stated that the early 94's must not of had this plug which would have made installation a snap. I had to run 12 VAC with a 30 amp auto circuit breaker and splice in to a brake wire. The blue wire was connected to the prodigy. You might check to see if yours is equiped with this blue wire If tow package equiped

Is it the round pins or spade pins? The spades (or RV) are wired different than the pins (or semi). PM me and I can email you a diagram and help you out with whatever you need. My shop has plugs and wires and stuff too if you need anything let me know
