I was looking at a 2012 Longhorn with the nav, etc. I know the radio has 2 USB ports. One in the front of the head unit and one in the top glovebox.

If I want to use my iphone 4s - I know it has bluetooth via connect for phone calls. Will it do audio streaming also?

I might just throw a iPod in the glovebox and forget about it, but being able to stream wirelessly from my iphone would be nice.

Also, will it do video?

Thanks,

D.

My USB does not recognize my thumb drive or my Iphone. The dealer had to install the photo I wanted on the radio image display.
What format do I have to use or what is needed to get my Iphone 4s to work.

I wonder if they have to upgrade the software on the radio. I know I had to do all my aftermarket headsets when the iphone 4S came out.

Most flash drives are formatted as FAT32 (an old Windows format). iPhones and iPod Touches don't support the "use as a hard drive" USB drive interface so unless the deck directly supports them you're out of luck. The iPod Classic and some Nanos can enabled to "use as a hard drive" and then formatted for Windows (FAT32) or Mac (HFS+).

Go to this site. https://owners.ramtrucks.com/sub/Pa...layouts/Authenticate.aspx?Source=%2F&Source=/ Scroll to the bottom, click on the Going Mobile, Bluetooth link.

Put in your potential truck, radio, phone and software info. It will give you a list of the functions supported by the radio and phone combination. If it is not listed, it MAY work, but IS NOT tested for compatability. If it is listed you should be good.

Thanks very much for the link!! I just found out that my 730N is eligible for the free Apple iPhone 4G software update, and my wife wants to upgrade to an iPhone 4G. Software update ordered!!
