Anybody out there runnin a Blumenthal Auto? If so what do ya think of them?

nobody out in TDR land is runnin a blumenthal... ... hmmm... ..... should i be worried?!?!?

Well thought I would dig this out and give alil update since I haven't seen much info on them. They do use ATS torque convertors, incase anyone is wondering. I was really rather disappointed in the shifting, seemed to much like a stock transmission (outside of OD and TC lock-up). The customer service from Blumenthal was good but I wasn't really impressed with it. If I hadn't had all the problems with the TPS, trans. temp sender, and cooler lines it would probably have held up to my current power level for awhile. But the problems with the lines finally did it in.



Currently it is being rebuilt by DTT dealer Floor It.

Another update. Some interesting things were found when the Blumenthal transmission was tore down. In the main clutch packs there were two (2) different types of clutches; one's w/ angled grooves and the others were smooth. The 1 to 2 accumulator was melted and cracked w/ no spring behind it. The overdrive clutches were toast.

Sounds like nothing more than a worked over (not necessarily a good thing ) stock trans.
