I lost 5th gear. After talking and looking around, it sounded like for the money( alot ), a Blumenthal with the fully splined main shaft was the way to go.
Now I'm hearing that maybe the Quad 4X4 with the torque king main shaft may be better. Please, anyone let me know. I just dropped alot of cash and don't want to feel bummed. Unless the Quad 4X4 is more expensive, or that the Blumenthal will work just fine. I went for the rebuild because of the milage instead of a band aid nut fix.
Also, I'll be real careful pulling hills in fifth. I don't haul much, just a Callen camper and all the stuff to stay in Baja for a couple of weeks. Thanks...
