Anyone have a Pilgrim TT?

hot engine

just got the 2Wd low kit from Bob Verhoef... . Going to install it tomorrow. . Detailed instructions, looks like it will be pretty easy. .

Will update pics as I do it... . i tow a 36' trailer and I have a tight side yard to park it. Also it will help in locating the trailer in parks and such...

I have Bobs 2wd low kit & it sure is great for keeping those transmission temps down when backing up the 5vr. People are always asking what that red knob is for. I tell them it's the 007 oil slick release knob to get rid of tail gaters. :-laf

I sure like mine. I'm really going to need it after the SB Con OFE goes in this month :D

The hardest part of the install is removing the shifter console. Cutting the lines was a little scary for me, but I did it right, so no worries. Figure out where you are going to locate the switch. I wish it was lighted, but it's not electrical

Ok, Here it is..... Was Really easy to do.

Heres what the parts look like... .

Pull up the boot for the shifter,

Drill 3/8 hole and put in grommet in front of shifter hole...

#ad

Run hoses through the hole, I tagged which hose was which color on the lower ones...

#ad

Underneath, theres a connector on top of the trans-case and you hook the 3 hoses up acording to a diagram, and cover with a split loom... .

put the hoses through the rubber boot, hook the hoses to the switch, bolt to the shifter, and check..... Works like a charm!! Really slick!

Thanks Bob, this will really come in handy moving this thing around

An alternate switch location on standard transmission equipped second-generation Rams places the valve inside the floor console. Little more than the 2-lo control knob is exposed in the cab of my BobV 2-lo equipped Ram.

Perfect timing on the install notes. I have one of his kits sitting on the workbench in the garage. Just havent had time to get to it yet. Should have it in within a couple weeks cant wait to get it done.
