does anyone know where to get a body lift for a 92 dually, if at all? or, what is the biggest tire we can fit underneath our trucks stock? i have all that wheel well, and not all that much wheel.
None of the manufacturers list a body lift for the diesels. They explicitly state "will not work on diesel". I can see no difference in the hardware between the gassers and diesels but there are 2 areas that will need attention. If you have AC the pressure line to the firewall will have to be lengthened to accomadate more than 1" of lift. The other area is the radiator and fan placemnt. Either you lose the shroud or some customization to keep the rad in the same postion will be needed. That part could be a little tricky with the crossflow radiatior and its mounting system. Depending on the amount of lift, you may also have to do something about the turbo to intercooler and intercooler to manifold connections to get things lined up again. Drivers side should be fairly easy but turbo side could end up with a slant in the tube. Don't know if that would impact anything or make a difference.
