I'm thinking about a 2" body lift because I like what it did for Rob Thomas's truck.

I've seen a kit in J. C. Whitney but it's not too clear what's included or what kind of supports are used.

Are there many different kits available and if so what do you think is the best way to go?

KRS,

I'm not sure about the kit in JC Whitney, but if I had to do it over again I would still use the Performance Accessories kit. Everything except the rear bumper brackets (which are available seperatly) was included.

National Tire and Wheel has the kit for about $170ish (for 3", the 2" is a tad less I believe) they're number is 1-800-847-3297 or the website www.ntwonline.com

Here is a link to the thread after I installed my kit, it contains the issuse which you will encounter along the way, not a big job, maybe 3 hours. Good luck!

Thanks Rob!

I had seen the thread but don't think I saw any reference in it to where from or which one you had used.

Yours is certainly a better recommendation than a vague picture in a catalog is so if I decide to do this I'll use the same kit that you used.

No problem KRS, I'm glad to help.

Shannon,

I called Performance Accessories, they told me the reason not to install one on a diesel is because THEY have never tried to see if it would work  . That was the only reason they gave me, nevertheless, it works fine with some minor alterations.

Keep in mind that Rob put one on an '01 - not the new body style '03. There may be issues with the '03 - until someone puts one on we won't know for sure.

Thanks Rob and Steve, I think I will do my flares and wheels next. I may wait until Aug. on the 6" suspension lift from Superlift.

Thanks Shannon

If you want a 6" lift I HIGHLY recommend the D1ck Cepek kit with the Skyjacker 7" coming in at a close second. Research Superlift before you make your decision. Unless they have changed their setup they are no where near the quality of the SJ and DC lifts.
