Body Parts: Availability

I've just decided that I'm going to fix the small rust spots and have my truck painted as soon as I get my tax refund. The rust is isolated to the rocker panels only, and the only replacement rockers I've been able to find are for standard cab trucks. Mine is an extended cab. I'm sure my body guy could section the shorter rockers and make them work, but I would much rather replace the whole thing. I haven't checked with Dodge yet, but I'm pretty sure I know the answer to that. Any after-market extended cab rockers around?

If your wanting the left side rocker panel for a Xcab. Dodge went NS1 about 2 years ago. I got the next to last one. A friend of mine got the last one.



They still should the right side in stock at that time.

I have been searching the major old car swap meets in the midwest for about 5 yrs. All I can find is a NOS aftermarket piece here an there. The sheet metal venders claim not enough demand so no one makes them. The good news is, if you find one the vender is glad to get rid of it.

Oh no, i don't like the sound of this, i have future plans to restore the 92...

I always say where there's a will there's a way... Of course im glad i didn't have mine already done, some ***** hit my truck while i was at work, in the parking lot, caved in passnger side door... Needless to say the company is lucky i didn't see who did it, or they would be one less customer. She may not look like much but damit she's mine and paid for.
