Body Patch Panels???

I have a friend with a 99 Quad Cab and his drivers door is starting the infamous rust on the bottom edge, from the inside out. Right now it is not that bad so a complete door is not necessary, but just patching it up is not the fix he is looking for.



I am thinking if someone makes a good outer-lower door patch panel from the belt line down, we could just do that.



Does anyone know of a company who makes good patch panels for our trucks?

Mine has just started doing that too. It should be covered under warranty though. Have you checked on that yet? Once I get a chance I'm going to take mine in and have it looked at.

Good point Steve, but the truck has 150k on it. Not sure if the dealer would want anything to do with it.



Looks like the plugs were left in the bottom of the doors and our wonderful Pennsylvania salted winter roads finally caught up to it.

I took the plugs out. I believe the rust through warranty is 7 years. I can't go outside right now to check my manual but I think that's right.
