Oo. Big decision time. My 91 has terminal cancer. The roof has rotted away to the point I can see thru the front above windshield. I have patched it up so many times now there is little left to hold windshield(which is cracked to and fro),; the body mounts have sagged (rotted out) to the state the body sits on transmission. Point here is whether it is possible to repair this cab, or try to replace entire cab? What difficulties are encountered in an entire swap? What years cabs will fit up, and if not a diesel would wiring plugs be a big headache, firewall connector similar or what. All 91's I've seen have rotted out windshiels troughs. Any help here would be appreciatred.



91 w250 auto, no intercooler, Blizzard plow 400,000km

Also 01 w250 auto, isspro dash guages, str 4"pipe,brush guard bumper ;)
 
by your description, it's time for a new cab. anything back to the early eighties will fit, i don't think you need to worry too much about wiring and such, just take your time and take lotsa pictures to know where things go back together.

I'm sorry. Couldn't resist. I never had the body rot like that, but did have a dime sized spot on the hood turn into full blown paint cancer. I had 3 shades of rust on the hood and cab. I referred to it as my urban camoflauge.
