Body Scratch

Bad news, we got some nasty wind here and the kids basketball hoop blew down . The backboard hit the bed and , it looks like it skimmed the clear coat off. There is no metal showing or primer. Would a good wax take out the scratch ?? The scratch is about four inches wide and goes for about ten inches down the side of the bed. I knew better than parking her on the concrete !! any advice would help !

A good test is to wipe a wet rag, or finger, across the scratch. If it disappears for a second until it dries, then it can be buffed or polished out. Although it might take more than just a coat of wax.
