Does anyone have the part numbers for the black moulding pieces that go in front and in back of the rear wheel on the bed of a 2001. It seems like each year there is less and less moulding. I emailed Mike Crossley as I saw the pictures of his 2001 with the complete side moulding but I haven't heard back from him.

I agree... I think Mike's rig looks good with the moulding. My truck is all white and the first time I saw it, it looked a little naked in the hind quarters...

I put the moulding on my white 2000 3500. Tell your dealer to look up the mouldings for the '99 year trucks. They will fit. My dealer, Karl Klement CPD, has sold so many of them, they have them in stock.

99' was the last year for the bed trim. However, none of the trucks(98-99) ever had trim behind the rear wheels. The trim you see behind the rear wheels is actually 99' short bed trim pieces that came from the factory in front of the rear wheels. I am refering to 2500 models here.

Though I don't have the part numbers at the moment, here is what you need to get if you have a 00'- 01'. If you have a short bed, then you need to get four bed trim pieces for a 99' short bed. Put two in front of the rear wheels and two behind the rear wheels. If you have a long bed, get two 99' long bed pieces for in front of the rear wheels and two 99' short bed pieces for behind the rear wheels.

If you have a 98-99(LB or SB), you can still get two 99'short bed pieces for behind the rear wheels.

If you have a 00'-01' 3500, then you need to order all the bed trim pieces for a 99' 3500. I believe there are eigth total pieces for that application.

I have done this trim on two 2500 LB's, but can't verify the fit for a SB. A guy in issue 28 put them on a short bed though. I have the part numbers somewhere, if I can find them. I know this info might be obvious to some, but hope I helped a little.

I purchased the front bed mouldings for my truck. I havent decided about putting on the rear moulding as yet. I will set up a new posting with the part numbers for both mouldings tomorrow night.

I've always said,it looks like the truck just came back from the bodyshop and they forgot to put on the bed mouldings on!

I also went and got the '99 bed mouldings from the dealer. About $22 bucks each.

I kind of like the pre '98 moulding, the flatter looking stuff with the chrome strip, and probably actual rubber instead of plastic #ad
Anyone know the numbers for these pieces going from the front to the rear? How about in your Mitchell manual, Sam?

On my '98 I ripped all the moulding off and thought the truck looked much better. But you lose door-ding protection. Of course the Sport models don't come with the trim. I might also check the JC Whitney catalog.
