Wisconsin Meeting

O'rielly Nationals at Houstonraceway Park March 22-25

Sounds like you all had a great time, I was planning to make it to represent the 1st gens but got to sit home with pneumonia instead, didn't think you wanted to share it with me. Hope to see you all in April for Dyno-days.

Rob, It has all been said by the guys ahead of me, but being the only 24v flatbed owner there I'd like to say thanks as well. Not knowing any of you prior to Saturday's meet (other than by writing on the forum), this party surely made faces and names come together for me. My wife has stated she won't miss the next one. Especially after seeing the pictures!!! Too kewl...

Seeing what you guys have done to your "rides" just boggles my mind for I'll never be able to catch up. Thanks to Bob Wagner I will be getting that third gauge installed along with others, however.

John, isn't that the luck of the draw to be off in the corner looking at some polishing job and miss the camera. Maybe it was planned so we won't break the lens. Ha!

Along with the guest book Rob, I'd like to see name tags for us grandpa's who suffer from CRS. Glad everyone got home okay.

Hope he got it fixed alright #ad

I had a great time, thanks for inviting me down.
Ean, that turkey was awesome #ad

We need some 1st generation trucks next time.

Yeah, the "knock" was fixed alright! Turns out, Piers had one of the spark plugs firing out of sequence due to the MSD ignition. This was causing the engine to "diesel. " I adjusted the MSD timing, and replaced the plugs with some split fires and ugraded the distributor cap... ... works great now! #ad

You guys... ..... #ad

Thanks for a great time. It was nice to meet some of you. I definitly learned some new tricks, and plenty of new stuff for the wish list. Hopefully I'll have some goodies to install at the next one! #ad

..... that was the problem... you needed to upgrade the base MSD stuff to Jacobs... end of spark knock. #ad

..... wait a minute... are you sure the engine wasn't just cackling? #ad

One of the "drawbacks" of these BOMB parties is the "fever" one catches. It seems that I have to add more things to my BOMB list after each one! #ad

One other consequence from this last one: I'm now the proud owner of a Turkey Deep fryer! Bought it Sunday, and the first turkey goes in on Monday. I hope it comes out as good as the one from Saturday, courtesy of Ean!

Andy

She hasn't had a chance to try the turkey yet, but she has heard raves about it from others, as well as myself. Also, she hasn't had a chance to hear my truck with the muffler installed. Probably on Monday (holiday for both of us. ) And yes, she thinks that all of you are to blame for my ever increasing BOMB fever. That's ok, she doesn't hold it against any of you. REALLY! That is until she sees my "truck toy" spreadsheet with the estimated costs on it. $5600 and climbing... ... .

Big D and John,

Don't feel lonely being left out of the picture. If you look at the picture you will see Vaughn MacKenzie looking down the driveway at "Yours Truely" coming back from a test drive checking out the new gauges!

Hey Scott, $5600?, $5600?, why that's only pocket change to a real BOMBer. #ad

..... and Jim, you're killin' me with that mailbox thing... don't think I won't drive to Montana to slap you silly. #ad

Big-Bob, I feel better knowing John and I were not the only ones “off in the corner” when the camera action scene was taken. With your organizational skills maybe we should put you in charge of film production next time. Then we could give you another screen name…lets see…Producer…Director…Star! All kidding aside, thanks a million for all the tips you provided. You are a master! Dave

Scollins, so Piers was up to his old tricks again, eh? I had a mysterious knock appear in my truck after I installed injectors when Piers was around as well last fall! I thought some of the guys were going to die they were laughing so hard!

Jim... my wife's name is Jan... Deb is my mistress that NEVER comes up to the house!

I am really happy that all of you guys had fun. That is what this is all about, at least for me. I was loving it when I saw people helping others, giving gentle advice, and some friendly bantering back and forth. I did not see anyone be rude, or mean.

What a great bunch of guys! People were going in and out of my house all day, thru my tool box, kitchen, etc, and I never had even one concern about damage or theft or anything. How can it get any better than that???

Wow, what a great time. I'd like to thank Rob and his wife for allowing all of us to get together at their home. Thanks also to everyone's help with my Muth mirrors, Andy, Big Bob, and countless others. Thanks to Bob Wagner for letting me try out his VA. Now I have to get one. Great bunch of guys! I'd love to have a NW Bomber get together at our house this summer with a barbecue. We have 10 acres with plenty of room... . #ad

Dave,

Thanks for the kind words, however I'm just like everyone else, drawing knowledge from other and learning as I go.

Sure was great meeting you and enjoyed our conversations.

Now lets get with the program and start BOMBing that 99 Ram with only 12,000 miles of yours!

Justbeamn,

Sound great, hate to wear Rob and Jan out. If you decide to set a date for a summer BOMBing session and BBQ (maybe a potluck and bring your own meat), let us know when.

I bet there will be another one before BD Dyno Days on April 21st.

Cumminntstrkn,
Was there a problem with a mail box? #ad

Hey John,
What do you know about this mail box? #ad
HeHeHe #ad
#ad

Must have been when you were shifting that Auto! Good thing you don't have a stick! Robs house would have been in great danger, not to mention the 30 or so Rams in the area! #ad
