Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Bomb Report :)!

My dad recently bought a 95 auto 4x4 reg cab. It already had stacks, 370 injectors, K&N off a scotty, ATS Triple TC, and a #8 plate. We liked it of course. Little slow on the get go, but heck of a Go-Hole when the TC locked in overdrive!



We got the bomb bug after playing with it more. This weekend we put in a #4 plate centered, 3GSk, and 191 delivery Valves. Holly Tolido Batman!!! This thing is quick.



Just wanted to let ya'll know that the bomb bug is ferocious, but well worth it! Just ordered a 16cm non-wastegated housing , as it has a 14cm internally wastegated one now.



Any Idea on HP numbers? I'm Guessing 450-475, am I off?

With the 160 pump I think your numbers may be a little high. IMO I think you are looking at 350 - 400. It's tough to say though as every truck is different.

I will have to agree that the hp# seems kinda high.

You might also want to reconsider the timing setting unless you like changing head gaskets (just one mans opinion).

Definately high. Expect closer to 350. Timing should be good. You have the fuel and air for it. Don't worry about the nay-sayers of timing, just be careful to warm the engine up before you go nuts and you'll be fine. I've been running 25* for about 5-months now with nary a problem and I love it.

I guess I was being too optimistic... Regardless it is very fun to drive. Makes it hard to fathom 500+ hp! The game is still on. I guess it is transmission time, turbo/twins, pump work, cam, yada yada.
