Bomb time with a G56 advice?

Oo. Who is running what with the G56 and stock clutch? I'm wanting to give the truck a little more pep :rolleyes: without to much stress on the clutch anybody hav e any advice? TST,JUICE,EZ, Van Akin what boxes are you running

I'm running the TST Powermax CR R49 on mine. Haven't had the cohones to put it up any higher then 3/3! Normally run it on setting 1/0 (the "mileage" setting) as I find it has plenty of power for everyday use.
 
I drove an 05' G56 dually last week with upgraded DDP 90hp injectors. The truck drove great with less smoke than my stock 06'. Their special runs through February only. Price doubles in March.
 
there are several good choices, predator,NADP's heavy hauler,ppe, edge juice, edge ez, tst, and thats about all i would use. !!! :-laf
 
Yeah I know the boxes. I had an 01' 5spd with con ofe clutch and tst powermax 3 in it. The ? is what will the Dual mas clutch and G56 take for a power upgrade. I'd like to know what other G56 owners are running

Your clutch will take 4/4 OK but I can tell you from experience that just 5 or 6 runs at 6/6 will destroy it! :{

BTW, once you slip it under heavy throttle it's so badly weakened that it wont even hold 3/3 after that.

I have an '05 with G56 and a tst and a ppe programmer. I usually don't have the tst on just the ppe on extreme. I have turned the tst to 8x4 but everytime I use both together I get a knock at about 2600 rpm... havent been able to figure that one out. If anyone has any idea on the knock any information is appreciated.

Yea, I figured that given the very good driveability of the stock clutch that it wouldn't like too much added power. This is why I've been nice to it! Frankly, I've found that running around on setting 1/0 is just fine. Occasionally I have run it at 3/2 or 3/3 just for giggles but I don't feel the need to run it that hard al the time. Someday. down the road, a SBC clutch will find it's way in to my truck and then we will have a little more fun! Oo.



OT a little bit... but what is this "plastic gears" crap I keep hearing on here about the G56? Is this just a urban legend kind of thing?
