67 Buick Riviera, where do I get parts?

I picked up what I believe to be a 1993 Bombardier Sea Doo Waverunner this week. I think it has all of the parts, but I am not sure. Does anyone have any info on these things? Any links to sites that have info on it? The Bombardier website only has info on the new models.



I don't know if the engine is the original, it has an aftermarket head on it. The exhaust manifold is off and I need to know how to reattach and route it. I think the exhaust manifold has a waterjacket for cooling but I really just don't know much about them. I figure if I can work on my Cummins, this can't be too hard, I just need some info.

Did you buy this thing in a box? Bombardier Sea Doo's (not Waverunners, those are Yamaha's ;) )are very good boats IF you take care of them, maintain them properly, and use the proper lubricants. We've been selling them since 1989 and 95% of the problems people have with them come from NOT doing what I just told you.



What model is it? The last 2 digits of the hull number will give you the year. It's located on the transom, under the bumper and can be hard to see. In 1993 they had the SP, SPI, SPX, and XP that were 2-seaters. The GTS and GTX were 3-seaters.



Probably the single biggest problem was the thru-hull seal. It uses a needle bearing riding on the drive shaft in an aluminum carrier with a seal on each side of the bearing to keep the water out. The aluminum carrier has a rubber hose similar in size and construction to a heater hose connecting it to the hull. When it doesn't get greased properly (it has a grease fitting) the bearing seizes, the hose rips apart, and the hull fills with water. This fills the engine with water. If the water sits for a few hours in the engine, your going to have to buy a crankshaft. All of this is prevented by a little squirt of grease.



This is just an example of what happens.

they are pretty simple, usually a couple water lines going to the exhaust in a couple different places that usually aren't hard to figure out, watch it with getting water in the motor, theres usually a sticker on the back end telling you which way to roll it if you flip it to keep from letting the water from the exhaust into the engine, if you do get it wet do not let it sit, blow it out and get some oil in there asap
