howdy hvac member,I want in too sounds like these guys are a really cummins lovers,I see you are in halfmoon bay i'm in san jose,this is my second cummins the first one was 12 valve and was great,all i did was exhaust and had injecter pump tweeked the old pumps were adjustable and it was pretty quick for a work truck,this 24 valve i've got now is customed out also for work,but i do want to bomb!!all i have done is B-D brake any suggestions to start ????
 
Howdy,yes i finally figured this thing out I see my reply on here,I just asked hvac member from halfmoon something,but it would be nice if I know your name,anyway I have 98 1/2 1 ton dually quad cab auto slt,bush wackers on front fenders,running boards all black & truck is driftwood in color,I also have aloy wheels & a custom utilty bed,with tools I weigh in @ 10,200 and think I should start with converter V-B what do yall think ?
 
Joe. . keep reading these two forums. . there is a chapter in San Jose that meets on the third Tuesday each month. . the chapter is called the SJ ram runners. . great bunch to get around and talk diesel
HVAC's name is Nowel [pronounced Noel]
and about the BOMBing. . start with gauges Boost and EGT. . then add the fueling boxes as needed [or better said to your needs] and yes the trans WILL need help with BOMBing, several good vendors out there and Nowel is one of them

This post is so old that when I saw the topic, I thought I was having a flashback kind of experience! I weighed less and my truck had bigger injectors then too- BUMMER!!!Oh well! I intend to start rebombing soon, so don't rule the Porkster out yet! The truck is still runnin' strong though and I've had no troubles whatsoever. I think the next step will be one of the new "MAGIC BOXES" that seem so popular now. Any suggestions???? Sam
