Rear Brake job

I am starting a bombing run on my new truck, and am going to ask some really stupid questions. First question, since this truck is used primarily to pull my Toy to truck pulls, I would like to have some input as to Max HP. I am interested in keeping the EGT's under control, yet still have adequate power for pulling. My thoughts are, to put 350 HP to the ground, Is this possible? Next question, Which direction should I head to achieve these goals? Are we talking Boxes, Injectors, or a combination? I am putting a 4" into 5" stacks Exhaust on the truck, and have already installed one of Piers' modified HX35 turbos on the truck. I was forced to disable the wastegate, as the new turbo did not have the flange to mount the wastegate. Can these trucks be run without a wastegate,or do I need to fab a bracket and re-install the gate?Any help would be appreciated, as I don't want to build an assortment of parts and pieces that won't work together.

Thanks, Don

A local guy here with the HO installed some used DD3s and says he is now 350hp+. Added an EZ and says it feels like an honest 400+hp.

You might consider the DD or BullyDog injectors. HOs don't do as well with the big performance boxes as the ETCs, so he has made some good choices.

I doubt the stacks will do anything except look cool! I saw a pic of a Ford with them(posted here a while back) and I loved it.

Also, I tow with the larger injectors, and do not have EGT worries til I turn the Blue Box up... check my signature for upgrades.

This is a timely question as I'm starting to gather up some "goodies" for the new truck we plan to order next month. As shown in my signature, we will primarily use our ETH/DEE 3500 to tow a 13,500# 5th wheel - therefore, I'm looking for usable towing power but want to keep EGT's under control.

I've already picked up an Edge EZ and was thinking about boost/EGT gauges (obviously), 275 injectors, a 4" exhaust system and doing something with the air intake/filter system. Am I on the right track? Would this package be more than the stock clutch could handle?

Warranty question

As a new owner of a 2001 truck with just 450 miles on it, I wonder what happens with warranty when you do all this stuff????

Warranty

I have found that if you start a Cummins powered Ram You have voided the warranty. Seriously though, According to some dealerships, if you change your own oil and don't use the Mopar replacement filters you have voided your warranty!!! That is why most guys try to hide or remove their performance enhancing products before taking their truck in for work. Personally, I wouldn't let any of the so-called Cummins "specialists", in my area touch the hood latch on one of my trucks.
