Bombing is never "done" but I'm getting closer

Ordered the CIPA mirrors and a cup smoothie from Geno's today. Ordered a new gooseneck plate that mounts to the fifth wheel rails yesterday. My old one was stolen.



Next will be to find a way to fix a small dent in the runing boards and get them polished up nice. If anyone has any tips please let me know. Then new tires again. 45,000 miles on this set of BFG's but they are starting to look like me, just a little bald



I just love this truck, Seems I get compliments on it just about every day. Need to find some more TDR guys that I am able to hang out with though.



Note to Dl5treez... . look out I am moving to Vermillion in JuneOo. Mostly I am happy to be near my Fiancee. she has a few more years of college there to finish her P. A. program. Then back to the Black Hills.



Sorry for the rambling post. Just wanted to share my appreciation of all the TDR offers us and how it has led me down an expensive but rewarding path.

Maybe you'll meet up with the guy who used to own my truck. I think he has a 24V now.



I agree, these trucks rock! Even though I don't get compliments everyday, I can tell that people can get envious of me. Hope that's the right wording. When I don't drive the truck, people ask where the truck is, hoping that i'm going to say it's broke down. :-laf Also probably curious if i'm going to do anymore work to it.



I'm over in Southwest MN, right next to that Little House on The Prairie region and some sod houses. Oo. I feel special. Maybe we'll meet up sometime in the future. Seems all the MNTDR people go up to the Twin Cities region for events, must not be anyone down here.



Also, let me know what you think of that cup smoothie. I've been thinking about getting that and replacing the factory spiller with a cover plate. And I should ask, got any pictures of a 5th Wheel setup in the back of the truck? Just trying to figure out what all these holes are for in the bed of my truck. I took my plate out of my truck and tossed it in the barn, so that's 4 holes there. I've still got like 6 holes left, plus a 2-3" hole in the front left corner of the bed (unknown what it's for).

Tmaas bought his truck over in Yankton. You and him are the two I know of in this area and I still haven't managed to get together with either one of ya. Most of my trips to South Dakota have involved funerals or other short notice plans, so no time for fun stuff.

Dl5treez, I bought my truck from Robinson-Ehret in Yankton in August of last year. The couple who sold the truck to them was Doug and Lori Hammer from Vermillion. They said that they had a friend that was on the TDR, and maybe bought stuff for them from Geno's like gauges and a TST kit.



The truck's a black 97 3500 SLT Laramie Club Cab Dually with a Lund Sunvisor and a lot of other misc accessories.

Cool! He said that he worked with someone that was on the TDR, I think it was at some factory or plant or something. Cool, maybe I can ask you what he pulled with the truck and what he had on the truck for accessories when he had it. Better take this to a PM though. This is awesome! Do you still see him ever? What kind of guy was he like?

Well I got a package from Geno's today. The mirrors were back ordered so all I got was the cummins emblem and the cup holder. I really did not like the cup holder. Perhaps in my mind I was expecting something with a lot nicer finish to it. The nice part is I called Geno's and told them how I felt and they said to go ahead and send it right back and they would give me a full refund. So A+ to them on service. Hopefuly the mirrors will get shipped soon and I will have a better time with them.

Yeah, I wasn't sure what the cupholder was going to be like so I figured I would wait until I got some opinions on it. Looks like I won't be getting one then. I also thought that Geno's treated me well when I ordered from them. Thumbs up to Geno's!!!

Here is a side by side comparison. I really like how much better you can see. I do have to agree with the guys that said they wish the detent was position different. I am gonna do some experimenting and see if I can find a way to effectively create a new detent position.
