I had the pump turned up on my 95 truck. Went from 175hp to about 250hp. The fuel mileage went way up, both empty and towing. I know that mileage/bombing is a bell curve, so my question is this: At what horsepower rating will your mileage begin to decrease? This is based on volumetric efficiencies, I know... but is 300hp too much, 400? 275? All you hot-rodders and vendors too, lend me your experiences!

Hey BCFAST---mine's at an est. 300-310HP and just other day recorded a "personal best" hwy mpg of 21-ish, (had never done better than 19-20 pre-BOMB)---overall mpg in urban mix driving has stayed right around 15-17 (I think some of this is due to an increase in TC slippage in lower gears)--lockup fuel efficiency has greatly improved, though---if you spend lots of time on the hwy @ cruising speed, 300HP is still good----now for an answer from any 400+ in the audience????

445hp still average 18mpg, got 20 the other day when I checked it for 300 miles of 70mph plus and a sled pull.
