I moved my temp probe to the exhaust manifold & found that @ 30psi, I can get to 1400 degrees real fast. The needle wasn't slowing down very fast & it would probably easily go past that.

If you are in the exhaust elbow, adding fuel to get to 30psi, 12cm2 housing, 4" system, no CAT & straight thru muffler, unknown timing, 90 degrees ambient, pre-turbo temp = temp reading + ( 30 x 20 ). In my case, my exhaust elbow temp was 900 degrees. Pre turbo, that's 1500 degrees!!

<font color=teal>I have been wondering why you where able to run with the #11 plate all the way forward with out maxing out EGT I am seeing about the same if the RPM is over 2600.

Well, I was going by the wrong equation. I was going by 10 degrees/lb of boost. When I was reading 30psi, I figured I was running 300 degrees + 900 or 950 max, which I thought was equivalent to 1200 pre turbo. #ad


Well, at least I know now. One of our Bombing friends has clued me in on how to clock the input housing so I can get the HX40 on line. That should fix EGT problems. #ad

I don't think I'll go to the #10 plate for awhile. The clutch will be toast. Oh darn, got to spend more money on the clutch. #ad
