Jardines use a 16 gauge tubing. However, this is a moot point since it comes with a lifetime warranty. Also, I live in the south and don't have to worry about salt. I really doubt you'll ever get any exhaust to rust from the inside out since it will be covered with soot.

????

If I wanted that "big-rig" sound would I get one with or without the muffler?

What will the price be going up to?

Do you need the hanger kit or with the stock work?

My question on gauge wall (thickness) of the pipe wall is not one about corrosion factor. It has to do with resonance or the dreaded "drone" factor.

NWB. How was the weekend at Rob's in Pendleton?

The weekend was great! The weather was not terribly cooperative, but had a good weekend anyway.

I will have my system installed on Wednesday I will post the results. I did drive Rips truck and the system sounded great.

Just got off the phone with Rip.........

The system ships with a 5' & 3' pipe. I plan to mount the 5' pipe to the down pipe and then the muffler. Reverse the 3' section so it slips on the tail section and get the muffler as far forward that way as possible. I believe the drone in all systems is the length of pipe for the long bed quad cabs. In my 01 I put a resonator in that area and it cleared the drone. I'm going with the above plan for the 02.

As I posted earlier with shipping and a hangar kit there is no real savings over some of the other systems. (I didn't buy the hangar kit) I like the idea of the longer tail pipe though. I am going to use strap clamps right off the bat this time in case I need to take it apart. That way I can weld my own hangars to be where I need them. Even Jardine's hangar system was lacking a little in my opinion.

The stock hangers are welded to that system and cannot be reused. Yes you will have to buy the hanger kit or make some yourself.

As far as the big rig sound you'll have to buy a big rig. The Cummins will put out a good roar for ya though. No muffler is louder than with a muffler. Find some people who are running both and compare. I'm sure there are TDR members in your area.

Any drone you might have can generally be quite easily fixed with some clamps and perhaps steel stock. By using clamps and channel steel, you can tune out the drone... Cheap and simple.
