Ok guys, I just got the go ahead from the boss to bomb!!!! How would you all spend 7500 bucks? I've got some Toyo MT's coming (315's) and will require some suspension mods as well to accomodate them as well.

I like the EDM injectors, catcher, SBC and will probably be purchasing these. Any other mods that you guys would do? And if so, why?

I would love as much input as I can get so I can get the best bang for my $!

The CATCHER will be a great addition. Will work well with a set of Don's injectors as well. Definitely should take care of that transmission as well, like you said. A turbo would probably be a good addition, but it depends on how much power you want to make and what you use the truck for that determines which turbo is best.

Don't know if you have gauges, exhaust, and intake, but these basic mods should be first on the list.

Yeah, I kinda forgot about the gauge thing! I will be getting these as well. Any comments as to which is better? I will also need to address the wimpy lift pump as well. No exhaust as of yet. Thinking of 4" with remote brake maybe as to not preclude the intro of future twins. I only have the K&N replacement filter. Oil sample showed little if and silica.

I've only had DiPricol and Autometer and have been happy with those. Can't really say about the other brands. As far as the lift pump, I would recommend the RASP system above all else. The system is completely mechanical, allows you to keep you stock lift pump as a backup, is tuneable, provides increased flow at high RPM, and provides rock-solid 15 psi in all throttle conditions. If you need more info, do a search or PM me.

Yeah, Mag-Hytec covers are great if you tow, I have one on the rear, but not on the front. Holds twice the oil as stock, and has a dipstick! They look cool also! Definately get the Catcher, 4" Exhaust, and a set of Don's Injectors. I just bought the Mach 1. 6's and the RASP pump from Olee Poole www.powerbypoole.com Good guy to deal with, and he can set you up with those twins later on if you so desire!!

Then you will want the SBC Con OFE, will stand up to almost whatever you can throw at it trailer-wise, as is the case with my other goodies, it's on the bench with the NV5600 waiting. You got a 5 or 6 speed???

Congrats on the OK from the top. (how rare) Any way, do the stuff that makes your truck a better "platform" for performance. And then squeeze power out. If you dont you will only go backwards costing more money. My experience says, TC, And good Fuel supply. These will save you from repair costs and let you move forward. You would only have to do these later out of necesity anyway.

Sounds as though you have researched well. Make sure of your vendors. Some of the big names are so big that no matter how good their product is, trying to get customer service is frustrating at best. And get used to the fact that there are some in this bussiness that are here for the buck first and once youve paid youre on your own with crap in return.

I myself am hopefull that i will fillaly, get to where I want to be because Ive seen rigs on this forum that are getting the performance I'm looking for.

I'd save my $$$$ for FUEL! At the way things are going you'll need that for a year's driving!

rumor I have heard... . that fuel prices will be below 2 bucks by the end of OCT... . so yeah, i dont think I would worry to much about that.

Congrats on the OK! Like said above, I'd have to recommend gauges first, egt-boost-fuel-transmission and rear diff. If you're going to be towing, the rear diff. is nice to have. You mentioned a remote exhaust brake. I have one and have never been real impressed with it. It doesn't slow the truck down like some of the under hood brakes I've experienced. I would also recommend the Mag Hytec covers. I put one on the rear diff. and towing temps dropped from stock cover. I've got one on the front too(to match the rear). And, I've got the double deep transmission pan which really reduced towing temps. On the transmission, go all out the first time so it doesn't have to be done twice. Triple disc, valve body and billet shafts. Been there, done it twice. Good luck, the spending never ends. Mike

PS, maybe some new boost hoses.

Thanks for all the input guys! Keep it coming! I only get to do this once do I need to be absolutely sure it gets done right the first time! I really don't want to make any changes that won't be worth it in the end.
