Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
Finally cut the final deal today and am now the new owner of a 2001 Dodge 2500 CTD!!!! Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Now, I don't take delivery of the truck until either Friday or early next week (depending on when he gets his new one), but I sealed the deal, and it's mine!!! Now, I have to start "finding" my BOMBs..... here's what I have in mind.
First, the muffler and resonator will mysteriously fall off. Wonder why they didn't in the last 63,000 miles
Gauges... . Going with EGT, Boost, and transmission temp. Not sure what ones yet though. I've been looking at the Autometer's... seems like they do a good job. Where's the best, read "cheapest" place to get all three gauges and a tripple pilar mount for them? Genos' is the only place I've looked, and it'll run me about $200+ there.
Edge Comp..... this is a given. Cheapest place I've found so far was in the last TDR mag for $625... . anywhere got a better deal?
transmission upgrades..... As soon as I have the pickup, I will be calling Bill K. at DTT and setting up an appointment to take the truck up there mid-August for a T/C and VB. I won't be pulling very heavy, or often, mostly a 4500 lb snowmobile trailer in the winter months. What % T/C should I be looking at? 89% or 91%? Also, I plan on installing DD2's or 3's when the $$$ rolls around, so which VB will make the 400 HP work for me the best?
Rip's 4" exhaust... . will be picking one up on the way back from the trip to DTT. Gotta have that 4" straight pipe sound.
DD2's, or 3's. Not sure yet, and won't be getting them for a while... . I don't think.
Right now the truck is stock. It has a GemTop canopy and a 50 gallon auxillary fuel tank in it. It also has a grill gaurd and winch, but they are coming off to go on the previous owners new truck.
Well, time to do some more looking for the upcoming fun.
