I had my TST box reflashed two weeks ago, I now have a back fire and a bunch of codes. I also get a check guages light on and off and I find nothing wrong. I am on the road and have very little time at the moment for down time until I get to Florida in two weeks. I'm worried about whats going on. Greg at TST has no idea and says just to remove the box and go to the dealer. HHHmmm. Any clues?

Codes P0606,P0646,P0483,P0514,P0516.

WIERD CODES GOT ME BAFFLED, BUT I'M WORRIED ABOUT THE OCCATIONAL BACKFIRE. B

Doesn't really sound like its got alot to do with the TST to me? Your codes are:

p0606 internal ecm processor

p0646 a/c clutch relay circuit low

p0483 cooling fan speed

p0514 battery temp sensor performance/rationality

p0516 battery temp sensor low

I would double check all connections and especially the ecm connection and any grounds. If all checks ok clear the codes and test drive some more to see if the problem persists. Don't pay too much attention to the check gauges light flash, its a common thing on these trucks and it sounds like there is a reflash to fix if you want to let the dealer touch it, that could be good or bad. Search "check gauges light" and you'll see others experiences with this.

I would guess it could be either a bad connection somewhere or possibly a ecm going bad. Usually when a ecm is going they set goofy codes and tell on everything but themselves. I'm new to these trucks so if I'm way wrong let me know, this is just where I would start looking.

How'd the TST work before this? That is the box I'm planning on purchasing.

Thanks for the input, I am going to recheck all the connections tomorrow. One question though, I sound dumb! Where's the ecm connection so I can be sure to check it? Also TST I love, no complaints other then it does heat up fast. I am lucky to have a full 4" Exhaust and a AFE filter on prior to adding the TST, You'll need it.

If you can just guide me to the ECM I'd be much apriciated, thanks again

The ECM is located on the drivers side of the motor below the intake manifold mounted on the side of the motor. Disconnect the wiring harness and check for dirty connection.
