Boost Elbow and Module??? Are we paying too much??

Be patient and follow me on this.

I have a boost elbow and I can get 28lbs of boost.

I do not have a boost module.

Other than eliminateing setting a code in the ECM of over boost does the boost module do anything else?

Are we paying a few hundred bucks just to eliminate a code in the ECM?

so what you're saying...

Brian,

SO you're saying that with the boost elbow alone, you will get higher boost, but the ECM will start to defuel at the predetermined boost value anyway, right? I borrowed an EZ with no boost elbow at a dyno run and went from 212hp/440torque to 244hp/597torque. Adding the boost elbow will allow the wastegate to stay closed until higher boost (more power), as well as fooling the ECM into keeping the fuel flowing (by not allowing the overboost code to set)...

Am I close?

Thanks Guys,

That is exactly what I needed to know. I guess I will have to get another boost module as I sold the last one I had when I ordered the DD Ultimate Power Module. I sent the Ultimate Power Module back for a refund because along with the DD stage I's it was too much for my stock transmission. One day I will get a transmission upgrade and then I will get another power box.

Brian,

There is a guy 23 miles from where I live and his name is Mike from Mike's custom truck building in Northwood ND 701-587-6335, he sells your BD products, I will be talking to him some day about transmission upgrades when cash flow is a little better for me. Could you give me some insight into his professionalism. I won't just take your word for him, I will check him out for myself but was just courious of your opinion of Mike.
