Quick question. I just installed some gauges in my truck (Glowpro Elite 10 color mounted in a 4 gauge pod on top of the dash for those of you who are interested), and I'm not sure if I have a problem or not. The boost gauge is at 0 at idle, and does not move when I rev the engine in park. Under normal acceleration, it does not move above maybe 0-1 psi. Under moderate acceleration, it will get to 4 or 5. I really got on it, foot to the floor from 10-60 MPH and it went to 15. Is this normal or could I have a boost leak? Fuel pressure never moves from 4.5, regardless of the circumstances. My research shows anywhere from 10-35 PSI is normal for these things.
Only mods are a pusher pre-turbo high flow intake and Diamond Eye 4" turbo back w/ straight pipe. Gauges were installed after these mods, so I don't know what it was doing before.
Boost gauge is installed under the intake horn on the driver side of the engine. Fuel pressure is installed in the line on top of the fuel filter housing using the supplied tapped banjo/snubber combo.
Oh, unrelated, but you can hold the dash top pods in place with adhesive velcro strips so you don't have to drill into your dash. Works great. I have a carpeted dash mat, so I just put the hook part on the bottom of the gauge pod and it holds great.
