I have an Autometer cobalt boost gauge that has suddenly stopped working. It is about 2 years old. When the ignition is off the gauge is pegged at 60psi. When I turn on the ignition the gauge returns to 0 momentarily and instantly moves back to 60psi and stays there. The back light still works. Is the gauge trashed or can it be fixed? My pyrometer bought at the same time works perfectly. Any ideas?

Fixed it

Figured out the problem. Figured since the EGT gauge which was the same age and make was working the boost gauge was probably still good. I looked under the hood found the sending unit at the intake manifold. I unplugged the wire going to the sending unit and tested the gauge by starting the truck. This time the gauge went to zero and then slowly maxed out. I inspected the wires going to the plug and found that one of the wires was broken. I spliced the wire and the gauge now works as good as new.
