Ok, I am less than happy with my westach dual gauge setup right now. The stupid light they give you still won't go in, and I even cracked the face trying to shove it in.

Problem number two; I can't get the boost portion to work. I put the boost bolt in the second from the front (closest to the valve cover) position, routed the hose to the back of the gauge and it won't read. The EGT portion works fine.

So, is the gauge broken or did I do something wrong?

I second that question. When I first installed my boost gauge I thought it might be broken or leaking. Then I actually test-drove the truck. Felt pretty dumb.

I would suggest getting it replaced. Mine works great and shows boost on the road even at fairly light throttle. The only problem I had was when the boost hose blew off the back of the gauge. Since it was in the SRT-10 pod near my head when it let go it scared the I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER out of me. I installed small wire ties on both ends as clamps and that fixed the problem.

Boost Gauge

Bunn,

Mine had a small kink in the line and was showing little to no boost.

At the last gathering in Elk River, one of the local members replaced my line with 1/4" tubing. The gauge responds very quick.

If you are going on Saturday, there is a Home Depot right next to Tim's shop. I got all the stuff there for $4. xx.

It was a 5 minute job.

Boost Gage Problems

I just installed the same gage. The light hole has a little black plastic plug whcih must be removed. It is deceiving as it has a small hole in it which makes it appear that the light stem should be inserted. (Don's ask how I found out). AFTER removing the plug, I was able to insert the light with the green sleeve without issue.

Also, the rubber tubing supplied with the gage is very fliexible. Be sure you have not snugged up the wire ties enough to collapse the hose.

good luck.

Sorry, Also I believe the first bolt hole by valve cover must be used. I used the front hole by the valve cover, and used a stiff wire to verify the hole was open to the manifold.
