would someone please help. I am looking for a pic of where someone istalled their boost gauge. I know I saw one in the manifold . I cant find the thread . any help would be awesome. thanks.

I used the drilled bolt from Geno's and replaced the front intake manifold bolt with it. Slick.

I used a boost fitting from Piers Diesel Research. Boost fitting P/N PDR1410002. It made the install very easy with no holes to drill or tap. I think the bolt cost around $18. 00 + shipping. See my Readers Rigs for a picture.

Boost tap

ESTELJ,

I got my gauges in last week and my boost is tapped into the elbow. I can take a pic tonight if you want. However, I was over at the neighbors the other night and he used the boost bolt the previous posts are talking about. It was much quicker, cleaner, and just a heck of a lot easier.

I used the boost bolt that came from Geno's with my gage. I ended up using the hole immediately behind the air intake horn as the one in the front was blocked by a wiring harness plug that for the life of me I couldn't remove. There was more wrench clearance in the hole I used.

Do a search on "boost bolt" and you'll find some pictures.

If you are using a SPA gauge the transducer size limits you to just one location on the 3rd gen when using a boost bolt.

It fits in here:
