Help please! I have checked all boots and connections and intake, and still cannot find any nicks, cuts or loose connections. And with the EZ on, I'm still only getting peak 23 psi at WOT. This is empty; do I need to take a load up a grade to get the 30+ psi I read about? Also, I have a modified hardline, but there is no change even if I totally disable wastegate with a springless turnbuckle. I was thinking about doing a Cummins service dyno test to see if there is a problem. Is there a better way or a better place to test? Will I get a lot of grief from the Cummins techs if I leave my EZ on if I take it in to them? I recall some discussion about using a compressor and using soapy water, but couldn't find the thread.

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Regards, JRG

Generally you have to have the motor under a pretty good load to get top boost numbers. BUT having said that, I can usually pull close to 26# boost just tromping on the accelerator empty. Of course I have the ETH/DEE with the boost elbow which may make a bit of difference. I don't think you're really too far off.

JRG... I have the same setup as you but I have the 5 speed. My boost before the EZ and Elbow was 18-19 psi. After the mod I get 23-24 psi. Called Edge about this and they said that an increase of 5-6lb boost was normal after installing the EZ and the Boost Elbow. I have checked all my fittings too, and even built the pressure tester to pressurize my boost lines and check for leaks. Can't find any. I do hear a "whoosh" sound coming from the engine area when my boost gets over 10 psi. Don't know if it is a leak that I haven't found, or maybe the noise from the little hole in the boost elbow...

I can hold 29-30psi climbing a grade at WOT with the truck empty. I don't think I can get the boost that high on flat ground. I was seeing 28 till I removed the muffler. I think there's an old trucker's saying that you are making 10hp per pound of boost. That would put me near 300hp. Possibly there is another problem (besides a boost leak) that is limiting your power output? Or it could be your boost gauge is off a little.
