I've been pondering the idea of wiring up a boost level light set up .

It would be 2 , 3 , or 4 L. E. D. lights maybe mounted in the pillar gauge pod.

As boost comes on say at 12 psi a green light comes on .

at 18 to 20 a yellow light

at 25 to 28 a red light

at 35 or above a big red light and a buzzer!

at the very least it would be fun to play with trying to light the dash up like a Christmas tree.

What do Ya'll think?

I guess I have too much time on my hands?

I have the idea ,Nowall I need to do is find the N. O. pressure switches.

Sounds good but may get pricey. When I was needing pressure switches a few years back for automation on a pump system these guys prices won hands down, they were very good to work with, high quality. Just tell them what you're doing and they'll set you up. Very small company in Grants Pass OR http://www.pressureswitches.com/

Bob- you might just have too much time on your hands:p ! Although- being a gadget freak... ..... It actually sounds pretty good. It would be nice if there was an electronic means of doing it instead of using individual switches...

an analog boost guage, solder small contacts at the pressure you want, each contact has a light connected to it, then have power run down the needle you can have the contacts run a span too.

Kinda like using an old alarm clock a timer.

Great Idea!

Thanks!

I have an old PSI gauge laying aroung.

I'm going to turn on the shop air and the soldering gun and do some old fashioned R&D.
