1999 24Vcummins. Check engine light on. Autozone reads the code as turbo charger boost sensor A low. Low voltage MAP sensor. Anybody know what this is all about? Where is the sensors located and is this a DIY repair. My sevice manual does not address this beyond listing all the codes. Thanks for any and all info. George Atkinson

First, get a genuine shop manual. It's worth the $100. 800 890-4038

Second do a search on here for "map sensor" you'll find plenty of info.

The map sensor is located on the driver side of the cylinder head, back near the firewall. It is close to the IAT sensor, and I think it is the furthest rearward one.

On a 99, you should be able to key-on three times quickly and read your own codes on the odometer display.
