Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) boost needle fluctuates

when i installed my pe comp a couple weeks ago my boost needle starting to fluctuate above 15 PSI (15 psi-34 psi) where it didnt before. is this normal? or do i have an air leak??? TIA

could be the guage my banks guage did the same thing there was two screws that backed out in side the guage
