I have a 2004. 5 Ram 2500 on which I installed a Quadzilla Commander a couple of years ago. Lately, the boost pressure readout was "all over the place" and now it reads 8 lbs WITH THE ENGINE OFF and 8 lbs and up with the engine running. How can I determine whether the fault is the factory sender or the Quadzilla? (The wire to the quadzilla splices into the factory wire from the sender, and it's (now) a soldered connection.

I would guess that its the quad, as the ECM would throw an over/under boost code if all it saw was 8 psi.

Do you have access to a mechanical boost gauge? They are much more accurate, and would tell you if you what your real pressure is.

If the quad turns out to be the issue I would call quad and see if they offer a warranty on it.

i found with my quad aderline with pulse when it acted up one time i had to update the firmware. there should be a little usb plug on the bottom of the display. it only takes a few moments if you have a laptop you can take to the truck.

Boost Pressure Sender Acccuracy

I suspected the quad as well. The boost reading will change when the engine is running and that's why I though it might be the sender. I do have another boost gauge and will install it. Thanks for the replys.
