Boost pressure

I have noticed a correlation between my boost pressure and fuel economy, just as watching the vacuum gauge on a gasoline was what you watched to maximize your mpg. Lately I have noticed my boost pressure running higher on the same stretch of road and my mpg reflects that. Is there anything mechanical that would make my boost higher? Winter fuel? I have just crossed the 100000 mile milestone and have had 2 injectors replaced under warranty on two separate occasions and have been running Smarty Jr. on the tow setting.

Lots of things, cold weather and winterized fuel in particular. Almost always loose mileage just from the temp drop and denser air. Takes more horsepower to push the truck thru the denser air, fluids are stiffer, and more BTU's wasted warming the combustion charge instead of making power.
