boost problem

i have a 06 common rail with the electronic waste gate, anyways i have an edge juice with attitude that allows me to adjust max boost pressure. well now it is lucky to run 30psi on level 5 when before i could get 40 on level 1 which is where i have it waste gated. would my low boost problem be the waste gate? i dont hear any leaks. the truck is still under warranty but i don't know if the dealer ship can do anything about it since they are probably set close to 25psi from the factory.

Sounds like the WG controller may have gone bad. Try a simpletest, crimp the WG control line on the turbo closed with a set of vice grips and see what happens.



If the controller sticks open you will only get 25-26 psi before the boost opens the WG. You should get a MIL but not always. How and where are you reading boost?

Same happened to me twice, only i couldn't boost past 22 psi. Changed the fuel filter and back to normal it went. Seems like i have to change the filter every 10,000 miles.
