Is there a concern about producing "too much" boost, say if you BOMB your truck? Can excessive boost either damage the engine or shorten it's life? I am assuming that boost lies in a linear relationship with fuel consumption and power produced, is that correct?

Besides fuel burn, does it tell you anything else useful?

Thanks all,

BKunik you shouldn't have any head gasket problems up to about 40 psi. After that you start knocking on the door of problems. 40psi gives you room to play.

Does it shorten engine life? Potentially but not enough to worry about given proper feeding and care and not abusing it (maxing out EGTs alot and/or not backing down).
