Ok I finally said to heck with it and slid my factory plate full forward the other day!:D Gave my goat a nice "little" kick in the tail. The morning I did it it rained so that made it interesting.

Anyways on with my question and I'll try and make it short and simple.

With my plate & AFC housing full forward + some star wheel turning I can now PEG 30PSI.

What is the safe limit on the stock turbo? I will hardly ever see 30PSI unless maybe showing off or racing some little ricer.

Just wanna know if maybe I should detune it a little to get my boost back down or am I alright where I am at?

30 lbs of boost....

..... Is what a lot of people are running on an HX 35. Drive pressures are a little high (45psi in my case) at 30 psi boost. What is your EGT like?

You should be just fine running 30psi, I don't think you have anything to worry about. My stock hx35 could push 42psi+, but I only did that once and then set the wastegate to 38psi. I personally would not recommend getting over 36-38psi on your stock turbo.

Boost limits

The hx35 starts to loose its ability to cool egt's after 34psi of boost. I can push 40 psi pretty easy with mine, no problems so far, but high egt's, time for a PDR hx40-16!!Oo.
