I just installed a boost gauge and when I took it for a ride the most boost I could get is 13psi. That was getting down on it on the freeway. It would not hold at that and would drop to almost zero is this normal or should I look for leaks. Thanks.

Sell It its a #53 lol, WEll all jokes aside, is this truck stock or modified at all, you should see more boost even at stock but the biggest problem you may want to verify first is the boost line being kinked, once that has been checked, look at all of your boots in the IC piping, they may be cracked and not noticable unless higher levels of boost are applied to them hope this may help you, PM me if you have any other questions

If you are all stock try this: from about a 5 mph roll - totally off the go pedal - mash it and watch the boost gauge - you should'nt see more than 22#. If you are only noticing 13# @ hiway speeds (no load) this is most likely normal. Try my suggestion and see what happens - could be the waste gate is opening too soon but probably not? I'd not be too concerned with the psi you are seeing. To be sure and safe check all boost tube connections and hoses for splits as the others have suggested.

First things first - what does your pyro say? If you're not making enough boost your temps will be very hot. Same with smoke; no boost = lots of smoke. Also, the ECM won't add fuel unless it sees boost; how does the power feel? If this all checks out, I'd look for a leak in the boost gauge's capilary tube, or a bad gauge.

I do have a super chip programer and the pyro jumps to 700 + and lets out alot of smoke. The power feels the same. The gauge line is ok as well as the boots and connections. Thanks for you replies

700F EGT is normal for me at about 65 mph unloaded on flat ground. It only jumps upward from there.

Sure you have a boost, not a fueling problem?
